Hotarubi meaning “firefly flame” is inspired by the fleeting beauty of light and the quiet moments that make life whole. Rooted in traditional Japanese aesthetics, Hotarubi Matcha is not just a drink it is a ritual, a pause, a reflection.
Our matcha is stone-milled from the finest shade-grown leaves in Japan, preserving its deep green color, smooth umami taste, and soft texture. With every cup, we invite you to slow down, breathe, and find warmth in the stillness.
We offer two expressions of Hotarubi Matcha:
1. Sift 1 tsp (2g) of matcha into a bowl
2. Add 70–80 ml of hot water (not boiling, 75–80°C)
3. Whisk in M-shaped motions until a layer of fine foam forms
4. Pause. Let your eyes rest in the green.
5. Sip slowly let the moment settle.
